Resident Doctors Bow to Pressure, Suspends StrikeThe National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has announced the suspension of its strike after 10 days.

It, however, said it will review the suspended industrial action in two weeks’ time to assess government’s level of compliance with the agreements reached with the association.

This was disclosed by the NARD Chairman, Ibadan chapter, Segun Olaopa on behalf of the National Executives of the association in the early hours of Thursday after a crucial meeting.

He said “the decision was reached following appeals from the public that the doctors should give the federal government more time to meet their demands.

“There will be a review in two weeks’ time to determine how far the government had gone to honour our agreements.
