REVEALED….. My father was instrumental for Ilorin to be part of northern region, Abdulrahman replies Saraki

 The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrahman  Abdulrazaq, on Thursday revealed the roles played by his father, Lawyer A.G.F Abdulrazaq, in ensuring that Ilorin remains in the northern region.

This came to fore as the popular Yoruba trending slogan in Kwara, Ó TO GE, which implies “Enough is Enough” rented the air in Ilorin as the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a mega rally ahead of the 2019 general elections.

ROYAL NEWS reports that the rally was in support of President Muhammad Buhari reelection and the election of the state’s gubernatorial candidate, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq.

The rally saw thousands of locals lining the streets and mobbing the long motorcade and heavy trucks conveying the APC campaigners amid deafening shouts of O To Ge, the campaign slogan of the party.

The rally was also dominated by shouts of Sai Buhari with some of the residents showing the sign of the four plus four with the fingers.

The gubernatorial candidate of the party in the state, who was joined by other candidates vying for various positions in Kwara waved to the massive crowd in some major roads in a slow bed Mack truck.

Some of the residents who trooped out in their large number chanted the O TO GE slogan as they rallied through the streets of Ilorin.

The residents, cheering the APC candidates demanded from them an end to the Saraki’s dynasty and misrule  in the state.

The party’s gubernatorial candidate waved and danced to different melodious songs that rented the APC’s rally across the streets of Ilorin.

The campaign train took off from Fate end of the capital city and crisscrossed densely populated areas like Maraba, Pata market, Gambari,  Okelele,  Abayawo, Omoda with a stop at Pakata where the candidates took turns to address the masses.

Speaking at Pakata, Abdulrasaq, said the party is committed to end the tyranny in the state.

“O To Ge. We will ensure workers are paid their dues at the right time.

“A government that cannot account for trillions of naira of public funds cannot expect to be trusted again,” Abdulrazaq said.

Abdulrazaq also laughed off a recent claim by Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki that APC wants to make Kwara a part of the West,  dismissing it as the antic of drowning politicians hanging to any straw.

“If West means Tinubu, then Bukola took Kwara to the west in 2015 when Tinubu was leader of APC,” Abdulrazaq said.

“Their desperate attempt to incite the public against us has failed.

“Every student of history understands the role my father AGF Abdulrazaq (SAN), played in 1955 to convince the Willinks Commission on Minorities that Ilorin belonged to the northern region.

“Where was Saraki in those years?  Where is his sense of history?” Abdulrasaq concluded.

On the minimum wage, the APC gubernatorial candidate, said he will wait till he is elected to take a decision if he will pay or not, because he will need to access the level of rot in the state.

He then assured the people of the state that they will enjoy his government because he will run an all inclusive administration that its people will be proud of.
