Rivers Governor Appoints Benibo Anabraba as New Secretary to Government

Date:

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has appointed Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the Rivers State Government (SSG).

Before this appointment, Anabraba served as the Commissioner for Lands and Survey under Governor Fubara. He held this position prior to the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.

Six months ago, President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers, suspending Governor Fubara and the entire State House of Assembly. During this period, the President appointed Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas as Sole Administrator to oversee the state.

Following the conclusion of the emergency rule, President Tinubu ordered the reinstatement of Governor Fubara, paving the way for the new appointments within his administration.
