Royal father lauds Kwara Govt’s infrastructural strides
The Etsu Pategi, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim Bologi II, has commended Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara on his infrastrutural development in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Ilorin by Mr Yakub Aliagan, the Press Secretary, Ministry of Environment.
According to Aliagan, the traditional ruler commended the governor when he received the Commissioner for Environment, Mrs Remilekun Banigbe, in his Palace in Pategi, Kwara north.
The royal father described the governor as a workaholic, who had executed several projects that have direct impact on the lives of the people.
He noted that the governor had executed projects in the education sector, healthcare delivery and roads, among others, which had changed the lives of the people for better.
The Etsu also noted that the ongoing erosion control by the Federal Government would mitigate the annual ecological problems that often wreck havoc on lives and properties in Pategi and its environs.
He assured the governor of the commitment and support of Pategi people in realising his second term ambition.
Earlier, Banigbe appreciated the Etsu Pategi for his fatherly role and support for the present administration.
Banigbe was in the community to inspect the ongoing Pategi flood control project located beside the General Hospital Pategi and funded by Hydro Electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC)
She appreciated the traditional ruler for providing 10 hectares of land to HYPPADEC for afforestation and to mitigate the effect of climate change in the area.
She also reiterated the commitment of the present administration to continue providing life touching projects for the betterment of the people in the state.
The commissioner therefore enjoined residents to vote massively for the governor for a second term to enable him continue his good work in the state.
