Saturday polls: Vote for all APC candidates, Prof. Oba directs supporters

The Director of Policy, Research and Strategy of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), presidential campaign council, Professor Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem, has urged Kwarans to vote en mass for all candidates of the party in the first round of the 2019 general coming up on Saturday.

He stated this in a statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday in continuation of his advocacy and sensitization of voters towards a peaceful election.
Prof. Oba Abdulraheem who is also the Talba of Ilorin categorically canvassed support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid and urged Kwarans to Dr. Ibrahim Oloriegbe , Arch. Lola Ashiru and Alhaji Ahmed Sadiq as their Senators for Kwara Central, South and North respectively as well as candidates contesting the federal house of representatives seats in the Saturday polls
While appealing to all members of Talba Support Group, (TSG), to be law abiding before during and after the polls, the party chieftain also advised them to resist all forms of intimidation and oppression from some members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) whose mission is to cause mayhem and charge the atmosphere even when the election is in progress.
“The struggle for the liberation of our dear state which we’ve started long time ago has come to a significant state of implementation and execution, you are expected to troop out en mass to exercise your civic right of participating in the February 16th and March 2nd, general elections”, he added.
The varsity don therefore advised security operatives to be proactive and ensure that peace continue to reign supreme even beyond election period stressing that, “No blood of any citizen is worth the victory any candidate.”
