Sophia Momodu, the first babymama of Nigerian singer Davido, has claimed that she has not received any child support from the artist in recent years.
She made the disclosure on Wednesday in a lengthy Instagram story post while addressing what she described as attempts to push a false narrative about the well-being of their daughter, Imade Adeleke.
According to her, she has solely shouldered the responsibility of caring for their daughter for the past five years.
“I have not received any child support from Davido, but our child knows no lack. She’s growing in a safe and loving environment, and she is very happy,” she wrote.
Sophia added that Imade maintains a healthy relationship with both parents, but appealed to the public to stop dragging her daughter into online controversies or fabricated narratives.
Her comments followed criticism alleging that she prevented Imade from attending Davido’s 33rd birthday celebration in Atlanta a few days earlier.
