Nigerian singer Asake has emerged as the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify Nigeria, according to the streaming platform’s latest rankings marking its fifth anniversary in the country. He topped the list, followed by Wizkid in second place and Seyi Vibez in third. Burna Boy and Davido occupied fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
Asake also dominated Spotify Nigeria’s list of the most-streamed songs, with his hit “Remember” ranking number one. Other top tracks included Ayo Maff and Fireboy’s “Dealer” at number two, Fido’s “Awolowo” at number three, Wizkid’s “Kese” at number four, and Asake’s “Lonely At The Top” at number five.
Nigerian music also performed strongly in Spotify Kenya, where Asake’s “Lonely At The Top” ranked fifth, while Ruger’s “Asiwaju”, Ayra Starr’s “Rush”, and Fireboy’s “Bandana” took the first three positions. Kenyan singer Bein’s “Inauma” placed fourth, highlighting the regional influence of Nigerian artists.
In Spotify Ghana, the most-streamed song of all time was “Wotowoto Seasoning” by Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck, featuring Ghanaian star Black Sherif. Asake’s “Lonely At The Top” ranked second, while Black Sherif occupied the third, fourth, and fifth spots with his own tracks.
The rankings underscore Asake’s growing dominance in West African music and his strong streaming performance across multiple African markets. His achievements highlight the global reach of Nigerian artists and the increasing influence of Afrobeats on continental music charts.
