Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has won his closest rival, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, in the Saturday 18th March 2023 governorship election for a second term tenure in the state.
Bala Mohammed, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) is also the Kauran Bauchi while Sadique Abubakar,the immediate past Chief of Air Staff contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
Sadique who is the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the State, spoke in Misau local government during his grassroots campaign.
He vowed to urgently revamp the agriculture sector to lift millions of people out of poverty.
According to him, “The government has neglected the critical sector, agriculture, which our people take as their main source of livelihood. Today, many of our people cannot afford to eat and poverty is hitting deep. By God’s grace, if you elect us, we will prioritize agriculture which is the mainstay of our economy.”
Sadique who met with the business community in the Council also pledged to empower and provide an enabling environment for their businesses to operate.
