Tinubu to receive OSBC award.

The All Progressive Congress, APC Chieftain, Bola Tinubu, would be receiving an Icon of Democracy Award as part of the activities marking the Silver Jubilee Anniversary of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, OSBC.

Akanji, who described the APC leaders as a leader of leaders not only in Nigeria but globally, emphasised that, he has contributed in no measure to the development of the entire nation.

Akanji informed that, despite the recession period which is affecting all and sundry, the State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola still struggling for the survival of the corporation which makes it to be ahead of others.

Despite the digital and other sophisticated broadcasting equipments purchased for the corporation by the state government, competition among other Radio stations in the state according to the Chairman has been one of the challenges facing the corporation.

“At least with the unflinching support of the governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to the entire corporation, we are able to ensure that the station reach out to both the South-West states and part of the East and Northern part with our informative and educative programmes all the time”, Akanji added.

Other activities continue on Friday with Jumat service at Osogbo Central Mosque, football match the following Saturday, Church service on Sunday at All Souls Anglican Church and official commissioning of OSBC Museum and landing of the proposed OSBC Media College among others.
