ROYAL NEWS reports that the visit was part of the First Lady’s visit to the state for projects commissioning.
In her remarks, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu said she was very delighted to be in Ilorin and in the palace of the Emir of Ilorin to inform him of her presence in the town and receive royal blessings.
She also appreciated the long time relationship between her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Emir stressing, “I am in Kwara State to launch my initiatives and commission some projects executed by the Kwara state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON”.
The President’s wife however prayed to God to give the Emir long life and sound health and continue to keep the city in peace and harmony for him.
Responding to Mrs. Tinubu’s remarks, Emir Sulu-Gambari urged the First Lady to feel at home in Ilorin saying, “Ilorin is a peaceful city and has witnessed tremendous developments since the inception of the current administration.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari therefore prayed to God to guide the President throughout his tenure and give the first lady long life, sound health and successful stay in the state.
