Two feared dead along Mokwa-Jebba highway

A lone auto crash along Mokwa- Jebba highway in Thursday claimed two lives, ROYAL NEWS reports.

However, the Kwara State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr. Sunday Maku, has also confirmed the casualty figure.

Maku said the accident occurred at Kilometer One on the Jebba-Mokwa/Berger Bridge and involved a Scania trailer with registration number ZUR126YL that was carrying passengers.

He attributed the accident to break failure and explained that his men were at the scene of the accident about five minutes after it occurred.

The FRSC boss said there were 28 people in the vehicle when it lost control and crashed.

Among the passengers were 17 males, seven females and four children.

He said that15 adult males,two adult females and four children were injured in the crash.

He stated that the sum of N435,000 was also recovered from the scene of the accident.
