UNILORIN lecturer becomes pioneer VC of private varsity

A Professor of Pragmatics and Applied Linguistics and former Director of the Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies of the University of Ilorin, Professor Mahfouz Adedimeji, has been appointed as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Ahman Pategi University.

ROYAL NEWS reports that Ahman Pategi University is one of the newly approved private institution in Nigeria.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Council of Ahman Pategi University, Hon Aliyu Ahman Pategi, presented letter of appointment to Prof. Adedimeji on Tuesday at the University Permanent Site.

Adedimeji until is his appointment is one of the most reverred academic figures at University of Ilorin.

He holds a B.A. (Honours), M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in English Language from the University of Ilorin.

With Prof. Mahfouz Adedimeji’s appointment as the Pioneer Vice Chancellor of Ahman Pategi University, the institution is fully ready to commence for 2020/2021 academic session in April.
