UPDATE: Over 400 clerics 5000 worshippers pray for Buhari in Ilorin

A special prayer was held at the Ilorin Central Mosque in the Kwara State capital on Friday for God’s guidance and sound health for President Muhammadu Buhari and the nation at large. The prayer was led by over 400 clerics and 5000 worshippers from across the Ilorin Emirate with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari in attendance. At the prayer session, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed was represented by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdulwahab Yusuf while the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki was represented by the Director-General of Mandate, Hon. Abdulwahab Issa. ROYAL NEWS reports that also in attendance was the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Communications, Dr. Muideen Akorede as well as other top political functionaries. Leading other clerics in the prayer, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammad Bashir Solihu prayed God to grant President Buhari sound health and all it takes to pilot the affairs of the nation successfully. He equally prayed for the Senate President. Dr Bukola Saraki and Kwara state governor, Alh Abdulfatah Ahmed, asking God to grant them eventful and successful tenure. |
