The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Monday, granted bail to the former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, in the sum of N10m.
The judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo, has therefore granted Shehu Sani bail in the sum of N10m.
Embattled former member of the national assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, was on Monday arraigned before a federal high court, Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), on two count charges of bribery and advance fee fraud.
However, Sani’s pleaded not guilty to the charges as his counsel, A. Ibrahim, also demanded his client’s bail.
But the lead counsel to the EFCC said he was just served the bail application notice a while ago.
The presiding judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo, later suspended the bail hearing application.
This, the judge said would enable the prosecutor to study the bail application before 12pm.
