……Lai Mohammed leads factional parallel congress

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Saturday disclosed that he will teach Nigerians on how political game is being played stressing that, “politics cannot be learnt overnight”.
Saraki who spoke at the venue of the APC state congress held in Ilorin. He further stressed that Nigerians eyes are on Kwara State politics noting that, “nothing is perfect in politics.
ROYAL NEWS reports that another parallel congress was held in the state under the Lai Mohammed –led political leadership at the
Arca Santa event where another set of officers were elected.
The parallel congress of the party produced Hon. Bashiru Bolarinwa Omolaja as the Chairman while 35 other mebers were also elected into the executive council of the party.
At the event, Lai Mohammed noted that the party will continue to adopt democratic process to direct the affairs of its members towards sustaining the nascent democratic process.
Meanwhile, while addressing another set of party members, the Senate President assured his supporters that there is no cause for alarm on the trending issues in the country.
According to him, ” There is no where in this country where you will see the serving governor, former governor and former-former governor sitting together just like we have it today. We shall show Nigerians
how political game is being played.
“My people, there is no problem about all what you have being hearing at the national level, we are up to the task. You can see that my face is shinning , I am not disturbed because I know that you are all behind me.”
The congress Saraki-led APC however affirmed the election of 34 officers of the party who were returned unopposed to steer the affairs of the second faction of the Kwara APC.
