The unveiling ceremony took place at the Vice-Chancellor’s office following the official presentation of the pack to the Vice-Chancellor by the Students Union Executive.

Presenting the item, the Students’ Union President, Comrade Lukman Shobowale, said that the tradition of setting apart a package also known as the starter pack for the students has been the tradition of the students’ union since the last five years.

Comrade Shobowale explained that the idea was to consolidate the effort of the University and the vision and goals of the Union, which is to proffer, enable and ensure good welfare for members.

Commending the leadership of the Students’ Union for living beyond expectations, the Vice-Chancellor observed that with the students’ union executives’ first case of administrative achievement, they have demonstrated the leadership quality that is embedded in them.

Prof. Ambali told the student leaders, “You are the type of leaders that we want to breed for the nation. We want to breed administrators and politicians that will go out there and make the difference. We want to produce leaders that will make promise and fulfill the promise and deliver the dividends of whatever responsibility given to them. We are proud of you and I believe you are ready for the Nigerian market.”
