The Kwara State Ex-Councillors’ Forum has given the state government a seven-days ultimatum to address their grievances in order to avoid embarrassment of the Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed-led government.

ROYAL NEWS reports that the General Secretary of the group, Hon., Olusegun Olanrewaju, stated this in his text of address tagged; “Kwara State Government Insensitive To The Plight Of Kwara State Ex-Councillors”, read at the Ministry of Local Government on Wednesday.

He said: “We massively supported Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed’s re-election bid but what we got in return for our labour was used and dump gift with a paltry payments in the borderline of N10,000, N 20, 000 and even, N30, 000 out of our entitlements since 1999 till date. In addition, with total neglect and abandonment.

“After much efforts to parley with the government and other party hierarchy but with a failure, the whole body of ex-councillors is hereby coming out with the following resolutions: the whole body of ex-councillors across the 16 local government should go out to sensitize and mobilize it electorates and also wait for directive of its headquarters on where to put their votes in the coming 2019 general election.
