Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has extended his annual festive outreach to key stakeholders and communities across Kwara State, as part of efforts to share goodwill, strengthen unity and support the people during the Christmas and end-of-year celebrations.
According to his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, the seasonal gesture covered the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kwara State chapter, Christian communities across the state, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) structures from the state level down to local government and ward levels, as well as party support groups across the three senatorial districts.
Abdulqadir explained that the outreach also reached youth and women structures of the party, alongside various women and youth support groups, noting that the initiative reflects Saraki’s long-standing tradition of inclusiveness and compassion, especially during festive periods.
He described the gesture as a consistent annual practice by the former Governor of Kwara State, aimed at identifying with the people, appreciating their steadfast support and promoting a sense of togetherness across religious, political and social lines.
“The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate has, over the years, maintained this tradition as part of his broader commitment to community engagement, peaceful coexistence and grassroots connection, particularly during periods of celebration and reflection.
“The festive outreach has been warmly received by beneficiaries across the state, many of whom described it as a reassuring reminder of Saraki’s enduring bond with the people of Kwara and his continued interest in their welfare and unity”, he added.
