Your love for journalists is uncommon, Group tells Kwara Gov.

The National League of Veteran Journalists, (NALVEJ) in Kwara state, has praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for granting approval for the renovation of the press centre of the the state’s council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

In a statement signed on Wednesday by its Chairman and Publicity Secretary, Alhaj Mohammed Tunde Akanbi and Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin respectively, NALVEJ noted that Governor AbdulRazaq’s love for working journalists in the state is uncommon.

The group recalled how the governor personally visited the NUJ’s press centre in the company of his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye for on the spot assessment of the facilities at the centre.

On behalf of senior journalists in the state, we thanked Governor AbdulRazaq for fulfilling your promise to renovate the centre which serves as both working and leisure centre for the entire media practitioners in the state.”

NALVEJ also thanked the governor’s chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye for been a worthy ambassador of the NUJ and congratulated the state executives of the NUJ and the entire journalists in the state for the feat.

The group therefore assured the governor of the continued support of NALVEJ members and the entire journalists in the state, praying Allah to grant him a successful tenure, full of remarkable achievements.
