The eight teams for the quarter-finals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup have been confirmed, following the completion of the Round of 16 on Wednesday morning.
Reigning European champions Real Madrid booked their place with a narrow 1–0 victory over Juventus, thanks to a 54th-minute strike from Gonzalo Garcia. They will now face Borussia Dortmund, who edged Monterrey 2–1, with Serhou Guirassy scoring twice in the first half.
One of the tournament’s major upsets saw Al Hilal eliminate Manchester City, setting up a quarter-final clash with Brazilian side Fluminense.
Elsewhere, Bayern Munich are set to face Paris Saint-Germain in a blockbuster European encounter, while Chelsea will battle Palmeiras for a semi-final berth.
The quarter-final fixtures are scheduled to take place on Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5, with the winners advancing to the semi-final round.
