Popular Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has addressed long-standing speculation surrounding her decision to keep her husband, Mr. Ezerika, away from the public spotlight.
Speaking during an appearance on the Dear Ife podcast, hosted by Diary of a Naija Girl, Kadiri clarified that her marriage is not hidden but rather intentionally private. According to the actress, the choice stems from a desire to protect her relationship from unnecessary drama, not from any need for secrecy.
“For clarity, my husband is not a secret. People who know me, know him. And for me, that’s enough,” Kadiri said. “I don’t know why I should feel the need to prove anything by constantly showcasing my marriage.”
Kadiri, who is a mother of two, added that her husband is actively involved in her life, accompanying her to church and events, including those she organizes.
“My life is not as private as people think. We go to church together, we attend events together—he’s always there,” she noted. She further explained that Mr. Ezerika simply prefers a low profile and chooses to remain out of the public glare.
