Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has received a Silver Certification in the United Kingdom for his 2023 album Timeless.
The certification was awarded after the album surpassed 100,000 units in sales in the UK, according to music data and analytics platform, Chart Data.
Timeless, released in March 2023, set several streaming records across platforms including Spotify Nigeria, Boomplay, Audiomack, and YouTube.
The album has also garnered critical acclaim, earning Davido two Grammy nominations—Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance.
In addition, the lead single from the album received a nomination for ‘Song of the Year’ at the Headies Awards.
Following its release, Davido embarked on a global Timeless tour, performing in major cities across North America, Europe, and Africa.
The Silver Certification marks a significant milestone in the artist’s international career and solidifies his growing influence in the global music industry.
Davido has yet to publicly comment on the achievement as of the time of this report.
