Former U.S. President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, have dismissed ongoing rumors about their marriage, calling the speculation unfounded.
Speaking during a recent episode of the “In My Opinion (IMO)” podcast hosted by Michelle’s brother, Craig Robinson, the couple responded lightheartedly to claims that they are heading for divorce.
Michelle joked about the assumptions made whenever the two are seen apart, saying, “I know, because when we aren’t, folks think we’re divorced.”
Barack added that he is often unaware of such rumors until someone brings them up. “So, I don’t even know this stuff’s going on. And then somebody will mention it to me, and I’m all like, ‘What are you talking about?’” he said.
Reflecting on their relationship, Michelle praised Barack’s role in her life, stating, “There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I’ve thought about quitting on my man. We’ve had some really hard times and we’ve had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person because of the man I’m married to.”
The Obamas, who have been married since 1992, continue to be one of the most prominent couples on the global stage, often advocating for mental health, civic engagement, and family values.
