Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, says it is unrealistic to expect total transformation across all sectors within his first two years in office.
Speaking during a media chat on Monday, Wike was responding to concerns that his administration has focused heavily on infrastructure while sectors like education and health appear neglected.
He explained that while infrastructure has received visible attention, significant efforts are also underway in the health sector, noting that these developments take time.
“For instance, we have commenced work on the abandoned Utako Hospital, we’re rehabilitating Gwagwalada and Gwarimpa hospitals, and we’ve started fixing the doctors’ quarters,” Wike said.
He emphasized that meaningful change across all sectors cannot be achieved simultaneously within such a short period. “It is just two years in office; it’s not possible to turn around every sector,” he added.
