Fuji Star K1 Faces Sanction Over Flask Drama

Date:

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has blacklisted popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, widely known as K1 De Ultimate, following an alleged security breach at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, confirmed during a press briefing in Abuja that the incident remains under investigation. He noted that regulatory action had already commenced, pending the outcome of the probe.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) had earlier launched an investigation into the musician’s reported disruptive behaviour during boarding on Tuesday. K1 allegedly attempted to board Flight VK201 to Lagos with a gold flask containing an unidentified substance. When asked by airport staff to verify the contents, he reportedly refused, sparking an altercation. Staff suspected the flask contained alcohol—prohibited aboard Nigerian commercial flights—prompting officials to deny him boarding.

The incident delayed flight operations and raised broader concerns about passenger compliance with airport security protocols.
