Niger State Governor Umaru Bago has dissolved the state executive council, with the decision taking immediate effect.
The announcement was made during the state Executive Council meeting on Monday, according to a statement issued by Mr. Ibrahim Bologi, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, in Minna.
Bologi noted that Governor Bago expressed appreciation to the outgoing cabinet members for their service to the state and wished them success in their future endeavors.
While the cabinet has been dissolved, the governor retained key officials, including the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, and other principal officers in his office.
