Ahead of the 2027 general elections, stakeholders in Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District have endorsed President Bola Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno to continue in their current positions.

The resolution was reached during a stakeholders’ meeting on Sunday in Ukana, Essien Udim Local Government Area, where participants were urged to unite and drive development across the state.

According to Jackson Udom, Special Assistant on Media to the Senate President, the endorsement motion was moved by Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, and seconded by Mfon Idung, representing Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency.

Speaking at the event, Senator Akpabio, who hosted the gathering, encouraged participants to work together to sustain the benefits of democracy delivered by both the federal and state governments. The Senate President also called on citizens to actively participate in the ongoing continuous voter registration exercise to ensure unity in Akwa Ibom ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Udeme Otong, and Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo highlighted that the state’s peace and progress are largely due to the collaboration between Senator Akpabio and Governor Eno.

Hon. Aniekan Akpan, a key stakeholder, praised the partnership between Akpabio and Eno, saying it positions Akwa Ibom for “the promised land.”

The meeting drew representatives from the National and State Assemblies, Local Government Chairmen, and Chapter Leaders across Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District, reflecting broad-based support for the endorsement.
