Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has described marriage as the most powerful form of partnership.
In a post on her X account on Thursday, the billionaire’s daughter wrote: “Call me old school, but I see marriage as the most powerful partnership in life. Maybe even the most important contract you will ever sign… with God Himself as the witness.”
Cuppy explained that her younger sister Temi Otedola’s recent wedding to Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, known professionally as Mr Eazi, reinforced her belief that marriage remains relevant. “With the right person, it pulls you closer to purpose and builds love, family, and legacy,” she noted.
Her comments follow the release of official photos from Temi and Mr Eazi’s wedding ceremonies. The couple hosted three events across different countries, beginning with a symbolic ceremony in Monaco on May 9, which coincided with Mr Eazi’s late mother’s birthday.
Two months later, a traditional Yoruba wedding was held at the Otedola family residence in Dubai. The celebrations concluded in August with a white wedding in Iceland, where the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony.
Temi and Mr Eazi had announced their engagement in April 2022 through a video shared on Instagram, hinting at an intimate celebration. Their eventual multi-country weddings reflected that plan while attracting wide public attention.
