The Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR over the demise of the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON.
Dangiwa also informed the Emir that he was in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital for the National Council of the Ministry holding in the state.
The Minister eulogized the virtues of the late cleric for his outstanding and unique features as the longest serving Chief Imam of Ilorin.
In his remarks, the Emir recalled his days as an High Court Judge in the old Borno State when he was on official visit to Sokoto State.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari added that, “When I for the Sultan, the then Sultan, Alhaji Sir Sidique Abubakar, asked me of my name twice and i replied him by telling him my name.
“Sultan Abubakar expressed his delight by thanking Almighty Allah (Alhamdulillahi robil alaaaamin) stressing our experience here has being, hosting white men (British Judges) in such capacity. Now we have our own among you.”
The Emir therefore thanked the minister and his entourage for the visit and commended the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore OON for being a good Ambassador of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara state in general as well as a patriotic Nigerian.

Also, the Emir received the entire family members of the 12th Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON who died on Monday.
The monarch urged them to uphold the love people and harmony in the family stressing the late cleric lived enviable life worthy of emulation.
The Imam Imale of Ilorin, Sheikh Abdullahi Abdulhamid, offered special prayers for Almighty Allah to comfort the Emir over rhe irreparable loss of the Chief Imam.
