The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has released a step-by-step guide to help electricity consumers resolve power supply and billing issues nationwide.
In a statement posted Tuesday on its official X platform, NERC urged customers experiencing service challenges to follow established complaint channels to ensure prompt resolution.
The commission said consumers should first contact the customer care units of their respective Distribution Companies (DisCos), which are responsible for addressing technical faults, outages, metering concerns and billing disputes.
According to NERC, customers in states that have transitioned to a State Electricity Regulator should escalate unresolved complaints to the appropriate state regulatory authority.
For consumers in states without a state regulator, or those requiring additional support, the commission advised contacting its call centre through 0201 344 4331, 0908 899 9244, or via email at complaints@nerc.gov.ng.
NERC reiterated its commitment to safeguarding electricity consumers and improving service delivery across Nigeria’s power sector.
