The Nigeria Police Force in Oyo State has arrested three suspects in connection with unlawful possession of suspected human parts and armed robbery.
According to a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer Olayinka Ayanlade, one suspect was arrested for allegedly possessing suspected human parts, while two others were arrested over armed robbery allegations.
The command said the arrests were made in Oyo and Ibadan following credible intelligence on their alleged activities.
One suspect, Garuba Aminu, 20, was arrested on February 20, 2026, at about 8:00 a.m. in the Commercial Oroki area of Oyo. Police said he was suspected of unlawfully possessing human parts after residents observed his strange movements while he disguised himself as a scavenger.
A police patrol team reportedly intervened after an angry mob gathered with intent to lynch him. He has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
In a separate operation, police arrested Elijah Teejay, 21, and Ottu Emmanuel, 33, in the Elebu area of Ibadan following intelligence on alleged robbery activities along the Elebu-Oja axis off the Alao-Akala Expressway.
During a search, officers recovered two toy pistols and some illicit drugs from the suspects, which were secured as exhibits.
The command said preliminary interrogation indicated that the suspects allegedly confessed to multiple robbery operations within and outside Oyo State. Investigations are ongoing.
