The Ilorin Emirate Safety Education and Advocacy Initiative (ISEAI), on Wednesday advanced its advocacy of intensified efforts to promote grassroots safety, security awareness, and crime prevention in Kwara State.

Led by its Coordinator, Prince Suleiman Yerima Sulu-Gambari, the initiative held a strategic engagement with the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), Kwara State chapter, aimed at enhancing public safety and improving traffic regulation across the state.

Speaking at the meeting, the Kwara State Chairman of TOAN, Alhaji Saliu Gidado, emphasized that empowering youths would significantly reduce social problems and criminal activities in society.

He also urged the government to eradicate or ban the sale of sachet alcohol for drivers, warning that its consumption contributes to reckless behavior on the roads.

Gidado further advised members of the association to remain vigilant and security-conscious, encouraging them to report any suspicious movement or activity to the police or the nearest security post.
