EFCC Raid Triggers Student Protest at Kwara State Polytechnic, Calm Restored

Date:

Tension flared at Kwara State Polytechnic (KWARAPOLY) following a reported operation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) near the institution, which sparked protests among students.

According to reports, the EFCC raid carried out in areas surrounding the campus caused panic, with many students reacting to the development and staging a protest over concerns about safety and alleged arrests.

The situation reportedly led to heightened tension within and around the campus, as students gathered to express their grievances and demand clarity over the operation conducted by the anti-graft agency.

In response, the management of Kwara State Polytechnic moved swiftly to address the situation, engaging with students and relevant authorities to prevent further escalation.

The institution has since assured that calm has been restored, urging students to remain peaceful and continue their academic activities while security agencies maintain order in the area.
