The Emir of Ilorin and chairman Kwara State Traditional Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has expressed shock over the demise of the Ajanasi- Agba of Ilorin, Alhaji Yusuf Hassan Bature.
Bature was until his death the Chief Translator and one of the foremost Islamic cleric in the Ilorin Emirate.
In a statement signed on Friday by his Spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the monarch described the death of Alhaji Bature as a colossal loss to the people of Ilorin Emirate and entire Muslim ummah.
Sulu-Gambari also confirmed the late Ajanasi-Agba’s contributions to the spread of Islamic orientations and teachings through his vast knowledge of the Holy Quran and Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He however commiserates with the immediate family of the deceased as well as the Council of Ulama and the Ilorin Emirate at large over loss.
The Emir pray Allah to accept his good deeds, forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al- Janatul firdaos.
