Moro communities urged to embrace peace, unity
The people of communities in Moro local government area in Ilorin Emirate of Kwara State have been advised to continue to live together in peace and harmony despite their political, religion and tribal differences.
The Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Dr. Salihu Woru Mohammed, stated this in a statement issued in Ilorin on Tuesday, a copy made available to ROYAL NEWS.
He noted that, “the appeal became imperative due to the recent unguided utterance of some disgruntle element in the area over their threat to reject the palliatives sent to the good people; orphans, widows and less-privileged in communities across Moro by the Ilorin Emirate Descendant Progressive Union, (IEDPU).”
Dr. Woru Mohammed who is also the Zanna of Okuta kingdom added that, “For the avoidance of doubt, the palliatives was organized to alleviate the pains and hunger resulting from the lock-down imposed in the state to support the people and also enhance peace and unity among the various communities residing in the area devoid of tribal or religion consideration.
“It is therefore necessary to advise groups and associations in the area to sheathe their swords, embrace peace and harmony and to always engage in dialogue in settling presumed grievances so as to allow the State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to take us to the next level of development.”
