Celebrations will begin on Monday, 30th March, with a sanitation and environmental cleaning exercise, followed by a walkathon on Tuesday, 31st March. Public sensitization campaigns targeting drivers and other key stakeholders within the airport environment are scheduled for Wednesday, 1st April.

Families of deceased officers will be honored on Thursday, 2nd April, with the presentation of cheques in recognition of their ultimate sacrifices. The festivities will culminate on Tuesday, 7th April, at Eagle Square, Abuja, featuring a ceremonial parade, tactical displays, and activities highlighting police professionalism.

Commissioner of Police, Ogunbode Olufunke, said, “National Police Day gives us the opportunity not only to honor the heroes who have laid down their lives in service but also to inspire a new generation of police officers committed to professionalism and community service.”

She added, “Our engagement with the public is central to effective policing. Through these celebrations, we hope to strengthen the trust and partnership between the Airport Police Command and the communities we serve.”

The Command emphasized that all planned activities align with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, to deepen community partnerships and enhance public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force.
