Asake Thrills Fans At Flytime Fest Lagos Show

Date:

Afrobeats star Ahmed Ololade also known as Asake delivered a standout performance at the Flytime Fest 2025 Christmas Eve concert, drawing an estimated 20,000 fans to the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.

The singer treated the packed venue to a high-energy set featuring some of his biggest hits, including Nzaza and Remember, alongside new songs from his forthcoming album, M$NEY. The show was enhanced by elaborate pyrotechnics, a live orchestra and carefully choreographed stage production.

The atmosphere peaked with surprise guest appearances, as Asake’s longtime collaborator Olamide joined him on stage for successive performances of Amapiano. Rapper Zlatan Ibile also appeared, energising the crowd with a lively rendition of Bust Down.

Fuji music icon Saheed Osupa made an unexpected cameo, drawing loud cheers and adding a nostalgic dimension to the night.

Fresh from a successful run of international tours, Asake’s Lagos performance was widely viewed as a strong homecoming and a reaffirmation of his status as one of Afrobeats’ most captivating live acts.

Flytime Fest continues on Christmas Day with its grand finale, headlined by Davido, as Lagos remains in a festive mood ahead of the holiday.
