Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has expressed deep condolences to the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, following the tragic deaths of his son, Victor Moro, and his grandson, Abba Moro Jr.
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Makurdi by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, Governor Alia described the double loss as “painful and devastating,” noting that anyone with a sense of humanity would be moved by such a tragedy.
He urged Senator Moro, his family, and the people of Benue South Senatorial District to accept the incident as an act of God, who gives and takes life, and prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased.
Reports indicate that Victor Moro, who had just completed his studies in Turkey and returned home to begin his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), died in a fatal road accident along the Mararaba axis of Nasarawa State—barely 24 hours after the burial of his nephew.
