
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed sadness over the demise of the District Head of Ballah, Alhaji Abdulkadir Yahaya Kawu, who died at the early hours of today (Friday).
The Emir, in a condolence message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, described his death as a great loss to the entire royal family, Ilorin Emirate and humanity in general.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari extolled the virtues of the late traditional chief for his tremendous contributions to the Ilorin Emirate and human race within his short stay on the throne as the Daudu Ballah in Asa Local Government Area of the state.
The Emir said: “Inna lillahi waina ilaehi roji’un. We have lost a very great traditional chief. Alhaji Abdulkadir Yahaya Kawu was an exceptional community leader who contributed his best to grassroot development.
“May Almighty Allah grant him absolute forgiveness, accept his good deeds and admit him into Aljannah firdaos. “
