
The lawmaker representing Ilorin South/East federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Dr. Yinka Aluko, was on Tuesday decorated as a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute for Crisis Resolution, Peacebuilding & Conciliation (ICRPC).
Dr. Aluko was recognized for his numerous contributions to peaceful coexistence and conflict management at all levels of human endeavour nationwide.
The Registrar of the Institute, Dr. Abdulwaheed Odewale commended the lawmaker for his background as a peace advocate, longest serving security adviser to successive govenors in Kwara State; former Governor Bukola Saraki and former Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and later served Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as Special Adviser Special Duties in his first tenure before he was elected as a Member of Federal House of Representatives.
He added that Hon. Yinka Aluko’s academic credentials also speak volume as a holder of PhD Peace and Strategic Studies from the prestigious University of Ilorin among others.
In his remarks, Hon. Aluko thanked the Institute for recognizing him with the Distinguished Fellowship Award and pledged to continue to contribute his quota to the nation as well as inspiring younger generations in bid to uphold tenet of peace, security and patriotism in the nation.
