Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has confirmed the players expected to miss his side’s Premier League clash against Arsenal on Wednesday night.

Tuchel said Mateo Kovacic and Andreas Christensen remain sidelined through injury and will miss Chelsea’s home Premier League tie against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel said this on Tuesday during his pre-match press conference.

Chelsea head to the game after beating Manchester City 2-1 in their last Premier League fixture.

“He [Kovacic] is not ready for tomorrow [Chelsea vs Arsenal game], we have to postpone it to Wembley.

“His personal race is on to make it to the squad for Wembley.”

On Christensen, Tuchel added, “We hope that he can come back in one of the two Leicester games.

“It will also be a tough one, but the season’s not finished for him, hopefully. We have realistic hopes that he can make his comeback, at the latest, against Aston Villa.”

The kick-off time for Chelsea vs Arsenal is 8.15 pm.
