Chile and Germany have booked their tickets for the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup in Russia.

Chile will meet Portugal in the first semi-final on Wednesday after grinding a draw against Australia in the last Group B match at Otkrytiye Arena in Moscow Sunday evening.

Germany had an easier ticket, beating hard-fighting Cameroon 3-1, with all the goals scored in the second half in the match played at Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi.  They will meet Mexico.

The Australians had shocked the Chileans when they scored in the 42nd minute. But the Chileans rallied to get an equaliser in the 68th minute.

They ended up with five points and second in the group.

Germany bagged seven points as group winners and will next meet Mexico, who came second in Group A, behind Portugal, in the semi-final to be played on Thursday

Portugal and Mexico booked their own places in the semi-finals, coming up on top in Group A.
