Veteran U.S. civil rights leader Reverend Jesse Jackson has passed away at the age of 84, his family confirmed on Tuesday.
“His unwavering belief in justice, equality, and love uplifted millions, and we ask you to honor his memory by continuing the fight for the values he lived by,” the family said in a statement.
Jackson was a prominent figure in the American civil rights movement, known for his activism, advocacy for racial equality, and efforts to promote social justice nationwide.
