CMD orders destruction of expired drugs worth N200m in Benue

The Newly appointed Chief Medical Director of Benue Teaching hospital BSUT Dr Stephen Hwande has ordered the destruction which resulted to the burning of expired drugs estimated N200m .
The drugs and other assorted equipments were set ablaze at instance of the directives of the newly appointed Chief executive besides the premises of the hospital. On Friday in Makurdi, Benue State.
He explained that the immediate past leadership led by Dr Terlumun swende had pharmacy centre within but preferred to patronised outsider.
Dr Hwande further expressed the determination to ensure quality health care delivery.
According to him, efforts would be intensified for excellent services for the benefit of mankind.
” I will implored all machinery to improve the facilities on ground for ultimately use and give face-lift towards enhancng development in the State.
It could be recalled the dilapidated structure under former leadership, the new administration pledge to give face-lift to enhance better environment.
