Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has been crowned the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, capping off a remarkable season with the French champions.

The 28-year-old beat competition from team-mate Vitinha and Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal to claim football’s most prestigious individual honour at a glittering ceremony in Paris on Monday night.

Dembele, who received the award from Brazilian icon Ronaldinho, used the occasion to acknowledge the clubs that shaped his career.

“Thank you to all the clubs I have played for: Stade Rennes, Borussia Dortmund, and the club I always dreamed of playing for, Barcelona,” he said.

Dembele’s triumph comes on the back of an outstanding campaign with PSG, where he played a pivotal role in delivering both the Ligue 1 title and the UEFA Champions League.

The forward scored 39 goals and provided 14 assists across all competitions under Luis Enrique, establishing himself as the driving force in a side brimming with talent.

Dembele’s Ballon d’Or win marks the pinnacle of his career so far, and also highlights his evolution from a promising winger at Rennes to a global superstar in Paris.
