Ebuka Warns BBNaija Housemates Against Brand Promotion, Excessive Sleeping

Date:

Big Brother Naija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has issued a stern warning to the 14 new male housemates introduced during the second launch of the show’s tenth season, themed “BBNaija 10/10.”

Addressing the contestants, Ebuka emphasized the importance of adhering to the show’s rules, stating that any form of unauthorized brand promotion or prolonged daytime sleeping—specifically more than two hours—could result in eviction.

“The show has started today,” he told the housemates. “If you say, ‘I want to use the first week to get to know the housemates,’ it will just pass.”

He urged the contestants to be lively and fully engaged from the onset, stressing that viewers expect energy and authenticity.

“We need people that have energy. Don’t be afraid to have fun, speak your mind,” Ebuka said. “Enjoy yourselves in that house and make friends.”

His comments followed the introduction of the second set of housemates, all male, during the show’s double-launch format, a twist in this season’s premiere.

The BBNaija franchise, one of Africa’s most-watched reality shows, is known for its strict rules and high engagement expectations from contestants.

This season marks the tenth edition of the reality series, which continues to draw significant viewership across Nigeria and beyond.

No further disciplinary actions or incidents have been reported since the housemates’ induction.
