Edo Queens Aim For Victory Against Ekiti Queens

Date:

Edo Queens midfielder Deborah Odiagbe has vowed that the team is ready to perform in their upcoming clash against Ekiti Queens.

The former Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions secured a hard-fought win over Heartland Queens in their last outing in Benin City.

Odiagbe acknowledged that the team faced challenges during that match but emphasized their determination to improve against Ekiti Queens.

Edo Queens are set to face Ekiti Queens at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday.

“We are ready to deliver in this grudge match—no excuses,” Odiagbe said in a pre-match interview.

She admitted that the team’s performance at home against Heartland Queens was below expectations.

“We didn’t do enough at home against Heartland Queens. We are in Ekiti to get something,” she added.

The midfielder highlighted the team’s focus on tactical discipline and taking advantage of scoring opportunities in Wednesday’s fixture.

Edo Queens aim to maintain their momentum and climb higher in the NWFL standings with a strong performance away from home.

Fans will be watching closely as the two sides meet in what promises to be a competitive encounter.
