
The Emir of Azara, Dr. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim, has empowered 120 underprivileged students from different educational levels with scholarship to pursue their education in the area
The scholarships was given under the Emir of Azara Scholarship foundation to boost their education ROYAL NEWS has gathered.
The Chairman of the scholarship scheme, Associate Prof. Ibrahim Suleiman, stated this during the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the Emir of Azara on the throne in Awe Local Government Area in Nasarawa State
He explained that, the beneficiaries were carefully selected across Azara administrative area.
In his remarks, the Emir said the initiative was designed to alleviate financial burden and promote access to education to indigents students.
He called on well-meaning sons and daughters of Azara to always support the course stressing that, the scholarship scheme will be a continuous process.
The traditional ruler said, “More than 120 participants were also trained on different skills that span across, make-up, confectionaries, soap making, among others.
Highlights of the occasion were the presentation of starter packs to the graduands by the Ubandoma orphanage and the less privileged foundation from Bauchi state.
