The Divisional Police Officer of Oja-Oba, Kwara State Command, Mukaila Yusuf, as been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police, ROYAL NEWS reports.
ACP Mukaila, a season police officer is also the Akikanju Adinni of Babanloma land in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
The decoration was done on Friday by the Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya and the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin, Dr. Usman Jos, in the present of the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR.
Checks revealed that ACP Mukaila is known for initiating what we called today in ilorin Emirate as Community Policing.
“The outfit he single handedly launched in ilorin Emirate which has now become house hold name in ilorin Emirate as community policing
This outfit collaborate and partner with the ilorin Emirate. Not only partnership but also have a robust synergy with other security agencies within Ilorin metro.
“This philosophy has greatly reduced crime and criminality within Ilorin metro.”
Shortly after the decoration, the Emir prayed for the new Assistant commissioner of police for long life and success in his new professional and family engagements.
