
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has rejoiced with the winners of the 2025 Kwara State National Qur’an Recitation Competition finals held in Ilorin on Sunday.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari lauded the excellent performances of the Reciters and urged them to uphold their values and morals of being good ambassadors of the state and Islam in general.
This is contained in a goodwill message issued by the Emir’s Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that “the future of a nation lies in her youths which constitute the largest populations.”
The Emir specifically congratulates Ustaz Muhammad Yaseer Tajudeen, Ustaz Abdulwaris Ismail and Ustaz Abdulmajeed Abdul-leef for emerging first, second and third positions respectively and urged them to improve more ahead of the National Qur’an Recitation Competition scheduled to commence on 12th December 2025 in Borno State.
He thanked the Kwara State Committee on National Qur’an Recitation Competition under the leadership of the Danmadami of Ilorin, Alhaji Shehu Ahmad Gafar OON for grooming talented youths to become positive peer influencers in the society.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however urged parents and guardians to intensify efforts towards quality upbringing of their children and wards for good of the nation and benefit of mankind.
